Bangladesh Mahila Parishad has strongly condemned an attack, vandalism and looting at the Rada MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur, Dhaka, expressing deep concern over the incident. In a statement issued on Sunday, the organization said that on the night of September 25, a group of masked individuals stormed into the health centre in Mirpur-1, held security staff hostage, and carried out extensive vandalism and looting. The attackers reportedly used heavy machinery to demolish the centre's permanent and semi-permanent structures. According to the organization, the assailants looted vaccines, medicines, an ultrasonogram machine and other medical equipment from the facility.

The statement noted that the Rada MCH-FP Centre has long provided primary healthcare and child immunization services to low-income and underprivileged communities in Mirpur. Mahila Parishad warned that such an attack on a healthcare institution not only damages infrastructure and equipment but also threatens people's right to life, health and safety, particularly affecting women, children, pregnant women, and marginalized populations who depend on the centre.

The organization further stated that mob violence of this kind is increasingly spreading in society and must be stopped immediately, warning that failure to do so would erode public trust in law enforcement and the justice system, further harming vulnerable and marginalized communities. Bangladesh Mahila Parishad demanded a neutral investigation to identify and bring to justice the planners, instigators, financiers, and direct participants of the attack, along with any group found to be involved.
